Today the prestigious "The Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival" of Bangor, County Down (Ireland) will begin. Due to Covid-19, this year the festival will be celebrated online.

'Deep Shock': Official Selection #36 in Paris (France)

'Deep Shock' lands for the first time in Paris (France)!
This evening I'm proud to announce that my new short film is an official selection at the "Mont Blanc International Film Fest".
'Deep Shock' has received 2 nominations:
- Best Short Film;
- Best Director.
The winners will be announced in early September.

'Lion': Awards #297-310 in Los Angeles, California (US)

'Lion' absolutely smashed it in Hollywood and exceeds 300 awards! Tonight I'm extremely proud to announce that my short film has won an outstanding 14 awards (yes, you read that right: fourteen!) at the prestigious "Hollywood Blood Horror Festival" of Los Angeles, California (US):
- Best Gore;
- Best Producers (Luca Vannella, Alexis Continente, Vincenzo Mastrantonio, Bobby Holland Hanton, Ferdinando Merolla, Roberto Paglialunga);
- Best Director;
- Best Young Actor (Pedro Sánchez);
- Best Actor (Michael Segàl);
- Best Supporting Actress (Tania Mercader);
- Best Cinematography (Juanma Postigo);
- Best Makeup and Hairstyling (Sarah O'Brien, Daniele Nastasi, Niamhy Glynn);
- Best Editing (Daniel Salinas);
- Best VFX (Luca Visual FX);
- Best Sound Design (Christian Valente);

This year Hollywood "speaks Italian": in addition to mine, 'A Perfect Lover' directed by my good friend Pierfrancesco Campanella ('Bad Inclinations', 'The Final Scoop') and 'The Cursed Drop' by Emanuele Pecoraro also won some awards.

An anecdote: I remember, with a smile, when we were in pre-production of this film. Two members of the crew left the project because they didn't believe in it. "This project is not credible", these were their exact words. I want to answer them like this: 310 awards in only three years of distribution! Is it credible now?

Tonight I'm happy to announce that 'Deep Shock' has won 2 new awards at the "Hollywood Gold Awards" of Los Angeles, California (US):
- Silver Award for the Best Horror;
- Silver Award for the Best Original Score (Giulio De Gaetano).

'Lion': Award #296 in Istanbul (Turkey)

Last month 'Lion' won the 'Best Horror Film' award in the "Istanbul Film Awards" of Istanbul (Turkey)... Well, today I'm pleased to announce the festival has also awarded Pedro Sánchez as 'Best Young Actor'.

'Extreme Love' and 'The Screenplay' triumphed in Rome!!!

A few weeks ago I dusted off, after years, my first short films, by sending them at the prestigious "Rome International Movie Awards" in Rome (Italy) and to my great surprise they were both selected.
Well, today I'm truly speechless... I'm extremely proud to announce that my films have won 8 awards in total!
'Extreme Love' received 4 awards:
- Best Actress (Michaela Bruni);
- Best Actor (Leonardo Pace);
- Best Original Score (Andrea Veracini);
- Honorable Mention for the Best Screenplay.
My second film 'The Screenplay', instead, has won 4 awards:
- Best Horror Film;
- Best Supporting Actress (Claudia Nicosia);
- Best Editing (Roberto Micalizzi);
- Best Special Makeup (Rosario Prestopino and Diego Prestopino).
