Welcome to your new Nightmare!

'A Nightmare on Elm Street' is an upcoming 2010 American horror film written by Wesley Strick and Eric Heisserer and directed by Samuel Bayer. It is a remake of Wes Craven's 1984 slasher film of the same name and designed to reboot the franchise. The film stars Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger, a role made famous by Robert Englund, while Rooney Mara takes over the role of Nancy Thompson, originally portrayed by Heather Langenkamp. The remake is set to be released on April 30, 2010.
Here the plot: "A re-imagining of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers and kills people in their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality".
Visit the official web site of the film and watch the trailer (push here).
